What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser for a website. They can support essential functions such as authentication and preferences, or optional functions such as analytics and advertising.
Essential staff-session cookie
After successful staff authentication, the administration area uses an essential signed session cookie named ubiqcar_admin_session. It is HTTP-only, uses SameSite protection, is marked Secure in production, applies to the website path, and expires after eight hours.
Why the staff cookie is required
The cookie allows the server to recognize an authenticated staff session without exposing the session contents to page scripts. Removing or invalidating it signs the user out and protects administration routes from unauthenticated access.
Customer booking preview
The current customer test-booking journey does not intentionally use a cookie to store driver details, card information, or a real reservation. A production customer-session design and retention period must be documented here before activation.
Analytics and marketing
No analytics or advertising cookies are intentionally enabled in this preview. If optional services are added, the website must provide appropriate consent controls and publish each cookie’s provider, purpose, duration, and category before activation.
Local storage and similar technology
The production policy will also identify any browser storage, pixels, SDKs, or other technologies that perform a similar function. Essential and optional technologies will be distinguished clearly.
Your choices
You can remove stored cookies using browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the protected administration area or future customer-account functions from working. Optional cookies should be controllable without losing core rental functionality.
Policy updates
This page will be updated when cookie names, providers, purposes, or durations change. A production consent tool should link directly to the current version.
